The school of Materials Science and Engineering has a strong-competitive academic team, which has a reasonable structure and led by doctoral supervisors and professors. Nearly 90% of the teachers have Doctor’s degree while those under 45 years old all hold Master’s degree. The title, degree and age structure of the teachers are in the leading position in the whole university. The teaching faculty includes one selected by “New Century Talents Project”, two of “New Century excellent Talents” by Ministry of Education, one specially-employed professor of Jiangsu Province, two of Jiangsu “Double Construction Talents”, one chief scientist and five academic leaders of Jiangsu “333 Project” among young and middle-aged scientists, six academic leaders of Jiangsu “Green Blue Project” among young and middle-aged scientists and two teams of Jiangsu Outstanding Science and Technology Innovation.
